Ráhel Hencz was born on 20 May 1999, in Kecskemét. She began her musical studies at the Kodály Zoltán Music School in Kecskemét, where she studied violin for 11 years. She also started her vocal studies there as a member of the choir, later becoming a soloist, and in 2013 she enrolled in the private voice program. Between 2014 and 2018, she studied as a voice major at the Kodály Zoltán Secondary School of Music in Kecskemét, where she obtained her secondary school diploma. In 2018, she was admitted to the Faculty of Music at the University of Szeged, majoring in classical voice, and graduated in 2021.
In 2022, she continued her studies at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in the Oratorio and Song Master’s program under the guidance of Ingrid Kertesi and Dr. Emese Virág, where she earned her degree in 2024. In September 2025, she began her studies in the Opera Master’s program at the same institution, with an expected graduation in 2027.
Among her competition results, a highlight is the 2021 József Simándy International Singing Competition, where she was a finalist and received the Miklósa Erika Special Prize, the “Hazám, hazám” Special Prize, and the Slovak Sinfonietta Special Prize.
